I am on information overload right now and trying to get things straight...this is about food and drinks....

Can someone tell me if I have all or any of this right.

All food on the ship is included...room service, table service..buffets, snack bars...etc...

Only place food costs extra is on land and Palo's??? Is that correct???

Now drinks....All Alcohol drinks are extra.

Soft drinks, juice etc is free at the deck 9 filling station thingy and at meals. However if you order a non-alcohol drink from the bar or room service it is extra???

How am I doing so far???

I more drink question.....If my kids want to pick up some snacks...hamburger or something at one of the counter service things....that is free but then they pay for the drink?? Is that right.....

Also in the teen club are snacks free but drinks cost money???

Thank you for being patient in reading this post but I am extremely confused :confused3 ..

I think you've actually got it down pretty good :) I personally would take a mug, or grab a cup at the drinking station to avoid paying for any drinks... no need to pay for something that you can get free :)!

You're close.....
Soft drinks are extra at all of the bars. They are only free at the drink stations on deck 9 and at meals. Alcohol is always extra, of course. Room service is free, but you have to tip, although drinks are extra. Counter service items, like burgers, fries, chicken fingers are free and it is located near the drink stations, so you DON'T have to pay for the drinks.
The snack stands at the movies and theaters are extra. And Yes, Palo is extra but well worth it!
Hope that clears it up for you!
Happy sails.

All food is included on the ship - at Palo, you pay a little, but it is really for gratuities, not the food.

Yes, all alcholic drinks are extra. All other drinks are free at Deck 9 drink station or in the restaurants. I believe that juice, milk, water and coffee are free at the bars and room service.... only if you order soft drinks from a bar or room service would it be extra.

I don't believe the snack stations serve drinks - they would walk over to the drink station to get thier (free) drinks. So they don't have to pay anything at any of the snack sections.

I can't comment on the teen club part - don't have any teens :)

I think that covers it. Someone correct if I'm wrong.

Non-alcoholic drinks that are served aboard the ship are free except through room service, and at the bars, both indoor and outside. The drink station on deck is free and very convenient to the snack counters that serve burgers, ice cream, pizza, etc.....

There is a charge for Palo dinner, High tea, and Palo Brunch. I'm not sure about Tea with Wendy or the teen club... I can't imagine they serve drinks at the kids' clubs because of the possible mess...But, what do I know?....Cash, the Wonder Dog, only drinks bottled water...

I think a lot of the kids go to the teen club and order the smoothie drinks. Those are extra.

Not sure about soda up there.
My girls are both out and about this morning. If you don't get an answer before I'll ask them when they get home.

When my kids wanted a pop for the movie or show, we would just get it at the drink station on deck 9 and take it into the theater. It seemed silly to pay for a coke at the theater when we could get one for free on deck 9. Plus the cups on deck 9 have lids with straws which I like better for kids (instead of cans).

The food on CC is also free. Soda was free also. The rest you have down to a science. Have fun. I wish I was going with you. :Pinkbounc

Tea with Wendy is free also, you just need to make a reservation.
How do I make a reservation for Tea with Wendy? We are on the July 30 West Coast Magic. I hope I'm not too late....

Byon,
You make those reservations at guest service on the ship. They're not too hard to get. Debbie

Smoothies are the big drink in The Stack--and they are about $4 each with tip (mandatory 15%). Tell the kids to go to the drink station for cokes! I put DD on a budget. When she realized that she was blowing HER money on Smoothies, suddenly cokes were a much better deal.

Otherwise, it sounds like you basically have it right. ALL food on the ship and at Castaway is free. Soda is free only in the restaurants, buffet, and drink station. If you order a soda at a bar, you pay for it.

Think of Castaway as an extension of the ship--all same rules apply re food and drinks. Obviously, food on land at non-Disney locations costs unless food or drink was specified as part of your excursion.

Actually when we got room service gratuity was added to our bill as was the gratuity when we got drinks at the bars.

A 15% gratuity is added to all sodas and alcoholic beverages purchased anywhere on the ship--room service, bars, etc. Sodas at the designated locations (restaurants, buffet on deck 9, drink station on deck 9 and on Castaway Cay) are not purchased, so there is no added gratuity at those places. The gratuity is added for any purchase considered a "bar item" which includes smoothies, the fancy drink glasses they had on pirate night in the restaurants, etc even though these items are not strictly bar drinks.

A hint--in the restaurants SOME servers will add a little cherry juice to your kid's sprite. If the server does it, it's a freebie. If it has to be ordered as a bar item, you pay for it.

we bought a big mug at walmart last year before our cruise and filled it to carry with us all over the ship...HINT...bring candy from home with you for the movies! Much cheaper!!!

This is probbaly a lame question but do they like scan your kttw card everytime you eat or anything like that... like say we grab a burger and then want to grab another one in an hour??? Is it basically just eat til you puke :rotfl: ???

no card scanning.

You can eat all that you want, whenever and how often you want to eat it.

To the OP, I don't believe that snacks/food are available in the teen clubs.

No card scanning anywhere except for charged items. For movies--bring candy from home in big bag and parcel it out into ziplocks for movies. Or go up to deck 9 and get cookies, fruit, or sodas for movies. There is no reason to buy their $5 for a bag of M&Ms before a movie!

You can even order room service and take a sandwich to the movie--no problem with bringing in food.

"Actually when we got room service gratuity was added to our bill as was the gratuity when we got drinks at the bars."

If you received a bill upon room service, then you must have ordered something for which you were charged - such as drinks, in which case they would have added the gratuity automatically based on the charge for the drinks only. But there is no bill associated with food from room service, and most people seem to tip for the service associated with bringing the food, as well, despite the absence of a bill.
