We have decided to rent a car from the Dolphin the day after we arrive in Orlando, which means we will use DME from MCO to the resort.

We have rented points to stay at the Boardwalk. The renter told me that being an international guest, I will not receive "tickets" but should receive luggage tags. Does this sound right? I knew about the yellow luggage tags, but now I'm wondering what the heck the "tickets" are, and what am I going to miss by not having them?!

My family and I have not ever used Magical Express, however from what I have read about it no one has ever mentioned anything about getting tickets. So the only thing you should be getting in the mail is those yellow luggage tags and whatever else they send with them.

You will get a booklet from DME that includes the yellow luggage tags. Inside the booklet is a page that is divided into squares, one square per person in your party. This page is your "ticket" for DME. There are each of your names and barcodes printed on it. When you get to Orlando International Airport and find the DME cast members open the booklet to this page, they will scan the barcode and ask you how many bags you checked, then they will send you into a line for the next bus. You are now on your way to your resort. When you board the bus to return home the bus driver will collect the tickets from you, so make sure they are accessible and not packed away safely like I did the first time we used DME! We usually book through CAA. Disney sends all the documents to the TA including the DME booklet, but I'm sure that even if you booked directly through Disney you should get all the documents delivered to you. Good luck!:thumbsup2

Being "International" means that on the way home you cannot check your bags through the resort - you actually have to take them on the bus with you when you go to the airport - that is all - it is about customs and immigration - you still hava all access to dme

The luggage tags are the important part of using the DME. They are the part that identifies your luggage as luggage to be picked up from the terminal and delivered somewhere (every tag will have a different code depending on where you are staying in your case BWV)

The tickets themselves are the items that they scan when you get on the DME. Personally, I have taken the DME with the tickets and without the tickets. It REALLY IS NOT a big deal not to have the tickets with you. What you need to do is go to the DME desk when you arrive at the Orlando aiport and show them your ID as well as your confirmation code for your resort. They will then print off your tickets right there for you to go and line up to get on the bus going to your resort.
