Can SoCal AP holders use AP room rates?

I have an AP for WDW, but now my spouse has a one-year work contract with an LA-based organization, so we'll be in and around SoCal until at least this time next year. I figure that makes me an LA-basin resident, for Disney purposes (we're full-timers in an RV, so have no real "bricks and mortar" home at the moment, other than a PO box in Maine.)

If I get the regular (versus "select") SoCal AP, will I get access to the room discounts for DLR hotels? There aren't any campgrounds near enough to DLR (at least, not ones we would stay in (we like lots of space, not to be sardines)) and also just like to move out of the RV once in a while. But we have a larger family, so need two rooms, and AP rates are pretty much required for my frugal, non-Mickey-loving spouse.

As an addendum, does anyone know if late April-May rates are out yet?

I'm pretty sure AP rates are out for the rest of the year.

And I am also pretty sure that any AP gets the discount. Select, Non Select, Etc.

Not my side of the business but that's what I hear.

Yes, we have stayed at the on-site hotels with the AP rate and only have the So-Cal Select Annual Pass. Have received some great rates during the off season!

Yes, the SoCal Select will get you "AP Nights" or just the standard AP discount on hotels. As far as "AP Nights" it seems they have been announcing these later and later and lately they are so close to the dates they can be used for that I've already booked elsewhere prior to the announcements even being made. They haven't offered AP Nights very much in the past two years compared to prior years, I am hoping to see some good rates this fall again.
