Can refillable mugs be used at other resorts?

We are dvc and are able to pool hop. It's not likely but if my adult kids decide to do so can they use their mugs at other resorts?

Remember that the hopping perk is for the member *and* traveling companions and you can be asked to show the member card.

Don't forget about holidays being blacked out for pool hopping. Plus, so many of the resorts are excluded from pool hopping any more .
