Can park tickets bought for Disney Performing Arts student program be upgraded to a park hopper?

Hi DISers! To make a long story short my high school age daughter is doing a soundtrack session at DCA with her high school choir this Saturday March 19th and they were supposed to have a 1 day Park Hopper ticket BUT somebody dropped the ball & they only got it for DCA. :/ They will be there from park open to park close & really want to do Disneyland too! Is she able to upgrade IF there is availability? Anyone have experience with this?!?

Did you read the fine print on her ticket? I didn’t think those types of tickets can be upgraded to hoppers. But there are probably exceptions.

She doesn't get her tickets until she gets there for her trip so I just wondered if anyone had any experience with this or tried it?
