Can (or should) I ride Goofy's Barnstormer?

I have a family (mom, son, sil...) full of sickies

Here is something I have learned about motion sickness... most people don't get sick on roller coasters!!! ITS TRUE!!! My mom will barf on peter pan but does just fine on space mountain
coasters go a lot faster and the motion is not a slow rocking motion.

Also, take dramamine before your day starts. My son will live on that stuff on our theme park trips and does great... without it he gets sick just LOOKING at a ride
Remember dramamine won't work if you wait until your sick to take it.

If dramamine doesn't work, go to your doc and explain how motion sick you get. Have him write you a script. DO NOT LET HIM talk you into the ear patch as that is a waste IMO as it didn't work for mom on a cruise. There are script motion sickness meds that work much better than OTC stuff ... of course you might be a little loopy and start singing in the park

Goofy's Barnstormer is a great first step. My 3 year old was able to ride this an loved it. (I also loved it). By the way I love roller coasters especially if they go upside down and when I tried the star wars ride I also felt like I was getting motion sickness. Don't bother trying primeral whirl at AK. It's the worst motion sickness ride I ever went on. (it's like the teacups but 10x worse)

Another great roller coaster is RNR eventhough it may be fast it is a very smooth ride and if you like Aerosmith you'll enjoy yourself. It suppose to be like racing in a limo following aerosmith as they try to make their concert on time. It's one of my favorites.

Space mountain is a very rough roller coaster ride which you may not enjoy.
