Do you have a hand-held can opener that you love? In the past year, I have replaced mine three times because the gear/blade are rusting. I clean it after I use it every time. The last one I got was about $15 and made by Farberware. I just got off the phone with them and they said that it needs to be thoroughly dried after each use with Q-tips. She said that you have to get in between each of the notches of the gear as well as the rivet that holds the blade on.
She said that it's under warranty and I could send it back but it would be at my cost. I told her that I'll just throw it away and buy a different brand.
Can anyone recommend a can opener that doesn't need to be dried with Q-tips after each use? I'm looking for a hand-held one, not electric. Thanks!
