Can one person purchase DP

Here is the scenario - Disney World and Disney Cruise

2 nights at DW

4 nights Disney Cruise

3 nights at DW

I am trying to decide on the Disney Dining option, but from what I am gathering, we can only purchase it for the exact days in the hotel that we are there. Right? So If I wanted it all nights, I could purchase it for 2 nights, then 3 nights when we get back.

Is there a way to purchase it for the first two night, and still use it if any points are leftover?

Also, we are trying to decide on annual tickets or 6 day hoppers...do you know if there is anyway for one of us to purchse the room/6 day hopper/DDP and then the other person get teh annual pass????
I will ask Disney, but I am seeing if there is anyone here that has done this or knows of a way. I want to try the Disney Dinning, but not sure if it will be our best opption, so thought it would be good if one of us could have it and then we try it.

Here is a link to the FAQ for the DDP at the top of the board.

That should answer your questions.

If you have a Land/Sea package, you cannot get the DDP.

If you do not have Land/Sea, if you purchase the Magic Your Way package plus Dining, you do need to purchase a pass (at least a one day) for each person in the room for each stay. You cannot get DDP for one person in the room, must be for all.

Credits expire at midnight on checkout day.

I am gong to read the link, but real quick...

We are not on a land/sea package.

So the DDP goes along with the number of days you stay, and is not connected to the number of tickets..you just have to have one day each??

The number of NIGHTS on your reservation is what determines the number of DDP credits: 1TS+1CS+1SC per person, per night. To be eligible to purchase the DDP in the first place, you must book your room reservation as a package, which at a minimum means you must get some IDENTICAL form of theme park admission for EVERY member of your reservation (and yes, this can be as little as 1-day base MYWs). But of course once you have your MYWs, you can always upgrade one or more of them to suit whatever your needs are.
