I really need some advice...please! We are currently booked with the free dining at Coronado business level king for Sep. 6-13. I just checked and we can get the WL standard view free dining for literally $100 more. It is just hubby and I. We have never stayed at the Lodge but love the proximity to the MK (our fave). We stayed at the Poly last year with construction and it was fine BUT we had a garden view and heard/saw nothing.

Would you keep CSR or switch to WL with the construction? Please if you can give your reasons why that would be sooo helpful! Thanks so so so much!

I would definitely switch to WL -- but it is our favorite resort. Love the theming. Love the Wow! factor of the lobby. Love the staff (at least on concierge level they were so nice and helpful). Well, downstairs in the lobby too actually. When we got there they came out and unbuckled my kids from the car and helped get them out in the rain. Housekeeping was great and the room was extremely clean, which is always very important to me. Great transportation options with boats AND buses. I love the pool there. I like the way they have the little water features in the lobby and the nice rocking chairs to sit in. I really have zero complaints about that resort, other than the quick service Roaring Forks (don't care for it).

In fact, the ONLY reason we switched our reservations over to BWI this year is because we are doing CL and they moved the lounge into the VP suite temporarily and we were concerned our son would have an issue with things being all switched around and looking different, etc. and we wanted to avoid that construction aspect of it.

I've heard that the resort is less crowed right now (not that it felt crowded when we were there last August -- it was very quiet, in fact) which I think would be a perk too. I think the only thing to consider is if having any construction "stuff" around will bother you or if having anything unavailable would bother you (say, the rental stuff).

Wilderness Lodge would be my choice, even with the construction under way. Being so close to MK that you can just take a fun boat ride instead of a bus is a grand perk. Wilderness Lodge is beautiful. CSR is just Meh, and it's so hot to walk around there.

If MK is your park I would switch it up. Just make sure the construction isn't going to be a downer for your vacation.

We would switch if it was only $100 more. We have never stayed there and would like to some day. This is very similar to how we were able to upgrade a few years ago from value to moderate through the DDP. Moved up to CSR for a little over $100 for the week. Best choice we made as it is our favorite resort with POR a close second. I wouldn't worry about construction, they will be long gone by the time I get back to the resort. We spend most of the day and night at the parks.

I would switch if I was in your situation as well. We loved the WL and if it's just you and your husband, even more so. It's a great resort.

I'd stay at coronado. Out of the resorts I've stayed in so far, it's my favorite. Especially if business class gets you closer to El Centro. It's beautiful, peaceful, and you get that nice business class perk. I think the construction at wl would bother me and I'd wait to stay there until after it was completed.

I've stayed at both and a vote for WL, even with construction! Gorgeous resort!!!!

Yes, I would switch. The WL is a gorgeous resort. I don't think construction will impact your stay much. In the interest of full disclosure, we had a WL room booked and switched due to construction, but it was because we were in a villa and I didn't want to be that close to construction. I'd be fine with booking a regular room (but as a family of five we can't affordably).

WL 100%! As long as you look over the construction and are fine with it, you can't not love that place! Such an awesome lobby and compact resort. Love the closeness to MK also. The step up to a deluxe resort just adds a few amenities (balcony too) that add to the magic. Enjoy.
