Can no longer do park merchandise orders over the phone.

Just thought I would let some people know of my experience today. I was looking for a particular sweatshirt that I saw in the parks last time I was there. They don't have it on the disneystore or disney parks app. I called Disney DelivEars today to place a park merchandise order and on the automated system I noticed they didn't really have an option that fit my need, so I pressed one of the other options (0 was an invalid response). When the department picked up they told me they no longer do park merchandise orders. I thought maybe if I tried another department they could help me. NOPE. Across the board they have confirmed Disney Parks has discontinued their park merchandise orders over the phone.

I ran into the same problem in early-December. It looks like that's about when they stopped mail order items directly from the parks anymore. The CMs said the only options were the Shop Parks App or ShopDisney (Disney Store). It's disappointing because so much of the merchandise is only available "in park".

Oh No! We have always been able to call when we really wanted something that someone had posted in a photograph on the internet that we fell in love with, or when we had seen something we wanted on a trip but did not buy it at that time- or when we needed the perfect gift for someone that was not available anywhere else. There are so many items on the shop disney parks app that are listed as in store only. I was worried they would do that when they started the shop Disney Parks app, but was really hoping I was wrong since the merchandise on it is so limited. This is so disappointing. Another little Disney benefit or perk chipped away.

I wonder if this is due to the really popular items selling out extremely fast? i.e. Rose Gold Ears & Spirit Jerseys and seasonal merchandise.

I don't think so...they didn't had access to all items available in the parks previously and sometimes they couldn't mail order items until some period of time had passed. I'm more inclined to say they did this to streamline the mail ordering process. Now most items come out of a central warehouse in Memphis rather than the parks (I still get a few items shipped from Orlando, but the vast majority come from Memphis).

Years ago we flew home from WDW and the bag with most of my 4 year olds purchases got eaten. The flight people came out to return our bag that had been eaten by some belt and everything inside was mangled or lost. You can imagine a 4 year old boy reaction. Thankfully we were able to call and buy everything again for him. I'd be really sad if that happened too some family today that couldn't call.

To the OP: have you tried Disneyland Personal Shopper? I think she has a Facebook page. There are other personal shoppers out there, so you might try Google, too.

I saw that it's just hard to pay an additional 20% for a shopper fee plus paying full price when you know they are getting an AP discount on top of that
