Can my sister cruise on our DVC Points?

My DH and I cruised on the Wonder this past January so we were lucky enough to get the "cruise again for $99" deal that DCL offered January 2002 cruisers.

We immediately signed up for a 3 day cruise when we returned home. We're spending several days at BWV before the cruise and are taking my older sister and BIL as our guests to show them Christmas at WDW. They haven't been to WDW for over 20 years and we are very excited to show them around! They are interested in going on the cruise and we would like to use DVC points to book their cabins.

My question - has anyone booked a cruise for a family member using DVC points (will they let me book a cruise for my sister and BIL using our points?) If so, can member services link the points reservation to our cash reservation so we can get the same dining rotation?

I think they will let you use your points to book your sister on the cruise. I have used my points to put members of my family in rooms at VB and OKW. JP

You can use your pts to book a cruise in anybody's name. As long as you have the pts Disney does not care. One of my co workers used pts to book a room at WLV and also the 4 day cruise as a wedding gift for his son and new dil. Very nice gift imho!

We have booked 2 cruises with points and took (on points) my in-laws and now my parents and DS's friend. So yes, you CAN book a cruise for someone else using points.

As for linking your dinner reservations - you should be able to do that with no problem at all. I have linked my dinner reservations with friends who live in another state and who also booked with a different travel agent. you will just need both reservation numbers and then call DCL and ask to be seated together.
