I booked thru DVC, staying at a DVC resort, but it wasn't available on points, so I went with member's cash. After I hung up, I realized she didn't ask me if I wanted the DDP. Is that because it isn't an option if I'm not using points? Also, will I get daily maid service since I'm using cash, or is that only if you book thru CRO? I'm just curious-I really like not having the daily maid service. But I'm most wondering about whether or not I can have the DDP.

On a prior mixed points and cash stay, booked and linked through MS, my employee had the DDP without hassle. I am not sure about a cash only stay, but my belief is that any ressie made through MS is eligible for the DDP without ticket purchase, while a CRO stay would require a MYW ticket purchase.

Yes, I was told on an all cash stay at a DVC resort booked through member services you can add the dining plan. (even with the member discount you can)

If you have the member discount $ you will not get daily maid service, but I think you can do the DDP. :Pinkbounc

If you are booking through MS you must stay at a DVC resort to utilize the dvc discounted DDP. For example, we just stayed at AKL on points, booked of course through MS but were not eligible to purchase the DDP.

So many rules, lol.

Just some input on your second question. We just returned from a stay using all member cash on a 2-bedroom unit and we did not have daily housekeeping. We booked through MS.

I've done linked reservations with DVC, housekeeping is combined under DVC rules. I checked in Saturday and paid member cash for that night, then points Sunday to Thursday nights. I got trash & towel on Tuesday, day 4 of the linked stay.

MS cash stays are essentially points stays.
