Can members us resort without being a registered guest?

We stay at the Iberostar Grand in Riviera Maya Mexico.... there's none of this business there- armed guards that are ON people who try to walk in! It's quite something to see.
It seems to be particularly common in Aruba, I'm all for the armed guards for this and the chair savers.

at the very least, include a sling-shot in each "welcome home" packet ;)

I have an image of SAB with razor wire and illegal poolhoppers trying to get through the fence undetected. Perhaps we need a PSA (Pool safety Administration) with newly trained lifeguards to enforce pool security. Side benefit: No food, drink, or sunscreen in containers larger than 1.5 oz, and all must fit in one quart sized ziplock. Also $1 for pool towels. On the upside, use of the slide is encouraged and not reserved for emergencies.
:rolleyes1

Maybe they could put that alligator in the canal between the villas and the parking lot to some good use.

Why not catapult "tresspassers/undesirables" across the lagoon!

Why not catapult "tresspassers/undesirables" across the lagoon!

That would probably backfire. Being catapolted across the lagoon would probably make it even more popular. There'd be a line!

...The only way to prevent this would be to operate every pool like SAB, and have KTTW cards checked at the entrance and have a gate around every pool. However even at SAB, when it's not busy, they don't have CMs checking cards. Which, to me, means that even Disney doesn't care as long as it's not super busy...

This! Telling a CM about rule breakers and them getting kicked out? In our dreams! Since there isn't a rule in place at pools other than SAB that you have to show your room key, what would this CM be able to do anyway? Easy excuse, "I don't have it." if the offender is asked and would be quickly accepted by the CM. I doubt a CM would even bother - they don't enforce many of the rules on the books - let alone ones that aren't. I've pointed out someone filling up their personal drink cup at a mug station before only to be told by the CM that "That's ok." Yes - it irks me to see people breaking the rules and getting away with it but if Disney won't enforce them then, as my DH puts it, I'm not the "INSERT AREA OF INFRACTION" Police ;) For me, I try to turn a blind eye so that it doesn't annoy me - I'm only hurting myself by getting all worked up about it...

If you are a BCV DVC member, but staying at BLT, can you use the BCV pool? Kind of a strange phenomenon as I pay BCV dues, but I am not staying during this time period.

No because pool hopping is not permitted at the Beach Club (as well as other resorts where it is restricted).

No. Neither BCV or BLT allow "pool hopping" and your resort privileges are tied to your stay and not your ownership.

Nope. Storm Along Bay is not included as a pool hopping destination.

You've been given the answer. Many (not all) timeshares do allow day use in some situations but DVC does not and I don't believe they should given the specifics of their circumstances.
