Can Member Services swap/trade nights between members?

This may be an edge case but I’m curious. I have a Feb 14-16 reservation but would prefer it be Feb 15-17. Say I find someone with the night I want (Sunday the 16th), and they want my Friday the 14th, would member services be able to facilitate a trade/swap without us dropping the reservations?

On a similar note, if I find a confirmed reservation for that night, can I have it merged with my existing reservation?

Reservations can not be transferred from one membership to another.

They can’t even do it when someone is the owners of both.

Can you break out your reservation so the one night is a standalone reservation and then change the guest names? Like renting the one night? The problem with that is that you probably can’t break the existing reservation into two.

MS can't split reservations. The OP could drop a night and pray it doesn't get picked up before they rebook but I would never take that chance myself.

I might add a backup somewhere else then risk to split it. Then book and then cancel backup.

If a reservation can't be broken or transferred, as a work around, assuming a measure of trust between parties, can't the guest lists of each reservation be changed to reflect the other party, as though it were their reservation? It would remain in the original reservation DVC account but it would allow the intended guest to check in, no?
