Can kids wait in line for Forbidden Journey?

My 5yo is a big HP fan. Can I take the kids through the queue with me and then leave before the actual ride starts? I hear the line is half the fun, and even though he's not tall enough for the ride I'd like him to see the theming. I'll have my mom & DH with me, so we'll probably go in pairs and the 3rd adult will take the kids elsewhere.

Also, do they do any kind of kidswap on this one? I'd like to see the theming, but once is enough!

Yes, they do have a child swap at the end, so you all can walk through the castle together. From what others reported back, they have a harry potter movie playing in the child swap room.

I think I read somewhere that the only thing you miss is the room with the sorting hat.

Awesome, thanks! Will one adult get to go twice, ie can we just leave one adult with the kids each time? Would like to go on it with someone!
