Can it fit?

We have had a twin size air bed at OKW in a studio. It fit between one of the beds and the wall. I think you might also be able to get one to fit at the other resorts with some creative furniture moving but it would be really tight.

Thanks, I see this will be a challenge. We are a family of three (we have a 12 year old daughter). Next year she want to bring someone with us, could be a girl friend or perhaps my nephew who is 15. If my nephew comes, for sure we would need a seperate bed. If a girl friend comes, they still might feel funny sleeping together. So, I thought a twin air mattress would be a good alternative but it sounds tight.:dance3:

When we stayed at a studio in Jambo, there was enough room between the bed and the sliding door to put a twin mattress.
We had an extra person for one night and that is where they slept.

But when we stayed at Kidani the bed was right against the window, maybe a foot of space.
I really think it would be tight to put a mattress anywhere in the Kidani studio.

Kidani seemed smaller to us but it is supposed to be bigger...:confused3

The bathroom area must be bigger or something.

we've used a twin aerobed in a BWV studio.

we just moved placed it near the balcony doors, and deflated it every morning (real aerobeds inflate and deflate quickly, and are incredibly comfortable)
hth:)

if your staying at BLT - FORGET ABOUT IT!!! There's not enough room to WALK between anything when the sofa bed is out, let alone put another mattress in there.

Darn, the BLT was my daughter's first choice (we were going next year for her 13th Bday).

I guess we will have to rethink this. Our choices:

1. borrow points (I really did not want to do this)
2. rent points (I have never done this, is it safe to do)
3. pay out of pocket (the reason for buying DVC, so no more oop)
4. choose another resort (disappointed daughter)

I guess I could always look for a room pin and bank next years points, what to do?

Thanks for all your replies, you have been extremely helpful!!!!!!:flower3:

I think in BLT you could easily put a twin air mattress in the area that is outside the bathroom/front door area. I haven't done it, but it seems like there should be room there, it would be a tight fit near the other beds though, but i'm sure somewhere in that room you could make it work

Thanks everyone for your ingenious ideas and feedback. We will be at WDW in a few weeks and I think I might even ask to see a studio at BLT and maybe BWV (my daughter's 2nd choice).

You guys rock!:dance3:

I think you could also do it in some of the more cramped spaces if one sleeps on the sofa not opened up and the air bed is on the floor where the sofa would open up. This can only work if the girls are not too tall for the sofa though.

I think that OKW is the only one I would try to fit an air matress in. That being said if she is set on BLT check out the other resorts with her this time. She might suprise you. If she is willing to do OKW you might be able to swing a 1 bedroom instead of a studio at BLT. That extra room might be a good enticment. OKW is my kids favorite. They are 15, 21 and 23 and it is still there resort of choice.
