Can it be done in Two Days?

This will be our first trip out West. We plan on staying in/near LA and drive down to Anaheim for a couple of days. We'll be there the last week of August. If we go during the week, will be able to see/do everything or most everything in the Parks? We were planning to purchase a 2-day park hopper. I'd appreciate any advice you might have to offer. :sunny:

Even though I can see you've been to WDW many times, I'd still say take a minimum of 3 days for DL/DCA. Many of the attractions at DL are much better than their WDW counterparts (POTC and Space Mountain are just two that are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better). Fantasmic is better. Our fireworks are amazing. Our entertainers are incredible (esp in comparison to the ones at WDW). To try to catch as many attractions, shows and parades as you can, thet will take 3 days at least.

We just got back from a 4-day visit. I think that you can accomplish a lot in 2 days if you are well prepared and have priorities regarding what you must see. We squeezed in most of what we wanted to do in the first two days, but they were quite hectic. I would recommend that you use early entry (if you can get it) or get there before DL opens and also plan to move over to DCA just as it opens. You will need to use fast passes, too, at least for Space Mountain. We used "the Unofficial Guide to Disneyland" book to plan our trip. They have a 2 day DL plan and 1 day DCA plan, that you could revise for your trip. (I think that DCA does not need a full day if you only have 2.) You might have trouble squeezing in shows. Not sure how crowded it will be when you are there, but we were there for Spring Break and it was very! crowded.

When we went for the first time we got 3 day hoppers. We toured commando style and did EE. While we saw most of the highlights there were still things we didnt get to do. I feel 3 days are adequate, but 4 are ideal to take it a bit slower and soak up the atmosphere. 2 days is better than none of course, but if there is any way possible, I suggest at least 3, if nothing else, for EE.

Normally when we go we ride all the rides multiple times and see all the shows in two days then our third day we just kinda relax and ride things again and see what we want to see again. Plus the last week of august you still have the summer hours so I see no reason why you couldn't get everything done.

If you only have two days I would get there with park opening, use fast pass and know what rides you want to go on and what shows you want to see. I don't see any reason why it can't be done. We went the last week of August a year or so ago and it wasn't crowded like summer but it had maybe average crowds schools generally go back after the week or the week after labor day.
