My wife and I (no kids) are considering taking a trip to Disney in December. Can we get away to Universal and do both parks (mostly) in a day?

How early can we get a car from a rental place on Disney property? How long does that drive take?

If we start with the Potter stuff and hit all of IOA, and then switch over to the original park, can we get it all done? What if we get the VIP tickets?

Will the VIP tickets get us in the express line for everything we'd want to do except Potter and the RRR ?

Being December, we would probably skip the water rides.

Depends on what time in December. Assuming that you're not going during the holiday rush, yes. Not much time to stop and smell the roses, but you can do it. Just treat it like you would Disney (show up with a plan of attack) and you'll have a blast. Also, the Jurassic Park River Adventure typically doesn't get you that wet, and in Toon Lagoon (where the "drench you to the bone" water rides are) there is a human dryer for $3, I think.

We'll be hitting the parks during that value season at the beginning of December, so I thought it was doable. I'm guessing the express passes would be needed to get everything done. Thanks for lettingus know that Jurassic Park would be safe. My wife has some skin issues so she can have wet clothes against her skin, so I thought she'd want to change clothes instead of the dryers, but thanks for letting me know about that because I didn't hear anyone say anythinga bout those before.
