upgrade to the dxddp for part of my stay??

we have free ddp for our 2 week stay next year, and would like to upgrade to dxddp so we can get a few sigs done.... but wouldnt want to pay for the whole 14 days as it would be a waste of money... is it an all or nothing thing???

I think it is all or nothing, but you could make two separate reservations, but then you may lose the free dining. It may be easier to pay out of pocket for anything that you go over.

I also believe it is all or nothing to upgrade your dining plan. Yes, you could do it if you made two separate reservations, but that is too much of a hassle and might complicate matters further. I would pay out of pocket. We have one or two more TS and I read menus to decide which to pay for.

I assume that the requirements for a package that includes a dining plan when you book in the UK are the same as in the US. You have to have the same dining plan for the entire length of the reservation so the only way you can have DxDDP for part of your stay is to book 2 separate reservations. However, having a dining plan requires a ticket purchase for everyone in the room over the age of 2.

thanks guys, looks like paying oop for some meals then... need to get down and cost which are the cheapest and best to pay oop... does anyone know if there is a list anywhere save me scouring allears?
if we pay oop, if for example, i have the cheapest app, but the most expensive dessert, can we "pick and choose" what we pay oop to save TS?? dh only drinks water for example, so could i have his drink and dd s dessert....

does that make sense?

which meals do people pay oop? we re only doing 2 ts bfasts (TH and akerhaus) so it ll be dinner reservations...

any help? tyvm xx
