Are there sidewalks? Is it encouraged? Can I walk to Citywalk from there? Also, I'd like to do some shopping while there. Is there a Lynx bus stop nearby? I understand there is aWalmart not too far.

Royal PAcific is within close close walking distance to Citywalk and has sidewalks or you take the boat.Citywalk is what connects the 2 parks

Actually, I did, but I don't know where the bus stop is, or if there are sidewalks from Royal Pacific to the bus stop. As you know, there are no sidewalks near the resorts in Disney World. I've never been to Universal so I was not sure.

Google Maps says you can. I've never walked it, so I don't know the sidewalk situation, but Google Maps will not give a route if it's not possible to walk it.

I used the Angus steakhouse for the destination, but on Google maps there is a Lynx stop right in front (and several more nearby, not sure of the Bus route you would need).

Don't quote me on this, but I THINK there is a bus loop outside City Walk if you follow the signs towards parking. I've not explored this myself, but we were there last week and recall seeing signs directing people towards buses. Could have been tour bus parking I supposes, but it would make sense to have a public transit bus stop nearby.

Great memory, nkereina! I use the bus loop for charter buses with my group every trip, but I forgot there is a Lynx stop there as well. That would work well for the OP, here's the link to a route from the Lynx website: UNIVERSAL to WALMART

To get to the bus loop, take the moving walkway from CityWalk toward the parking garages, then take the escalator immediately to the right down to the buses. Hope that helps!

Edit to Add: It also looks as if there is a Lynx stop for that bus line (21) right across the street from the Cabana Bay entrance on Turkey Lake Rd., if that would be quicker to get to.

We walked from RPR to Wet n Wild last year.

I thought it was very dangerous, the sidewalk situation from RPR to Universal Boulevard is VERY bad. We were wearing flip flops and I fell over my own feet when running over the Boulevard. I felt like an idiot.

You can walk the path to the City Walk. After about 2/3 you can cut through the bushes to get to the street, so you can skip a part of walking along the street. If I remember correct, you have to cross the Boulevard because there is no side walk on one side. And there were no traffic lights for pedestrians, but cars cars cars. American traffic is so slow, but in this case we were too slow and had to wait some time to start running.

I would never do it again and would prefer to take a cab. The walk in the heat was also quite a hike.
