Can I visit DL in connection with La Jolla visit?

I have a conference in La Jolla in February. As a Floridian, I've always wanted to visit Disneyland. How far apart are they? Maybe I could rent a car. Which airport should I use that would be most convenient to both?

I would recommend the San Diego airport, if your conference is in La Jolla.

Disneyland is about 1.5-2 hour drive from there - just take the 5 north, and keep going. DL will be on your left.

When we visit Las Vegas we always make a Disneyland side trip and that drive is 4-5 hrs long. So San Diego to Disneyland wouldn't even be a thought.

San Diego has some wonderful things also. Sea World, The Wild Animal Park, San Diego Zoo are all great..........ooohhh and don't forget the beach. Alot of families split a week between Disneyland and San Diego. The drive isn't very bad if you plan it to miss most of the rush hour traffic.
