Can I use my sister's PC rate

Ok, I didn't get a postcard rate but my sister did. She is not going to use it. Can I?

The postcard rates that include an individual PIN code are not transferable.

You are not allowed to transfer them. They will ask questions, too. I am travelling with my mother in law in December. Both names are on our reservation (2 rooms, one reservation for me, my MIL and my three kids). Knowing she was traveling with me I did not feel funny trying to apply it to our reservation. at first they wouldn't accept it because the address and phone number did not match the phone number and address on the reservation (although the name did). Once I explained that it matched the second adult on the rervation, it was fine. Anyhow, so the technical answer is, they are non-transferable and they will ask questions.

Now, you could call Disney and explain that since your sister is unable to travel with you, could you please use hers....you never know. Sometimes honesty is the best policy.

Or you could convince your sister to go.

Not only are the post cards and emails non-transferrable but they have to match what's in Disney's computer exactly.

I have friends who got the email and tried to book the email rate on the phone and had trouble because they were trying to book the reservation under the name "Tom Smith" and the CRO agent couldn't do it because the PIN code was in the computer as belonging to "Thomas Smith". No match, no reservation. Didn't matter that Tom and Thomas were the same person. They had to call back and book it under "Thomas" to get the discount.

You can only do this if you live in the same household.
My father lives with my husband and myself and he got a postcard.
I called to see if I we could use it (even though my father is not coming with us) and they said yes since we are at the same address. ( I had already booked our resorts so they applied the discount to them)
I was very happy . I never thought this would really work!!!!
