can I use DVA account for DLR ticket upgrade?

We'are going to Disneyland on Sep 4-6 for DDD half marathon, and after doing math I think it is better to upgrade our WDW AP to Premier. I've heard that Disney Vacation Account can pay tickets or WDW AP renewal, but can I use DVA for this WDW AP to premier upgrade? I really hope so, has anyone done this before? thanks!

I'm not as familiar with DLR, but don't all upgrades need to be done in person? The DVA cannot be using in person. If your upgrade is part of a renewal that you can do online or over the phone, then you should be able to use DVA.

Thank you, Supersnoop, yes, the upgrade is not part of renewal, my WDW AP will not expire until Dec this year, so it has to be done in person at DLR. I thought DVA information can be pulled from CM at the ticket center and applied to the upgrade, think I was wrong. I will save DVA for my next renewal then.

You can request a gift card from your DVA. You'll miss out on the $20 per $1,000 bonus, but you can use a gift card to pay for the upgrade in person.
