Can I use Disney GCs to buy Disney GCs?

Hello!

I know I should probably just call the Disney Store and ask them, but I would love to hear from someone who may have first hand knowledge. I'm a little afraid of getting a CM on the phone who either doesn't understand the question or isn't completely up to speed on policy - which would result in a wasted trip to a mall I don't usually go to!

Is it possible to use Disney GC's to purchase larger GCs? For the past year or so I have been using the left over grocery budget money to buy Disney GCs at the grocery store. I get gas rewards and it's relatively painless.

So now I have a stack of $25, $50 and $100 GCs. Literally like 40 cards all together. I was hoping to trade them in for several $500 cards to make the process of using them on the phone to pay off our trip a little less cumbersome.

If I can't, not the end of the world. But if it's something I can do, I will just schedule a trip to the mall in the next couple of weeks.

No, unfortunately you cannot

It says on the back of the card that you cannot use them to purchase gift cards

But..Last year I did the same thing with buying gift cards. I had about 25 gift cards and the cast member on the phone took all of them in one shot. It looked funny on the invoice but it was accurate and done correctly.

I was able to take my smaller denomination into the Disney Store and have them loaded onto one card before our trip in March. They had no problem with it.
