Hello- I'm planning my first trip to Universal in Mid-June and had a question about tickets. I read through the various ticket questions and even did a few searches but I can't seem to find an answer to this question.

I purchased a few 2 park/7 day tickets about 5 or 6 years ago. I can't find any record on how much I paid for these tickets. I'm trying to figure out if a)it is possible to upgrade these to an AP; and b)if it would even be worthwhile since I've come to understand that Universal doesn't bridge the ticket prices.

Another question as well now that I'm thinking about it. I had purchased a child ticket for my daughter with the plan of using it before she turned 9. However she is now 10 and turns 11 at the end of June. I assume not, but will Universal allow me to still use the child ticket for her? At this point in time it doesn't really matter as that ticket was paid for a LONG time ago...lol.

I appreciate your help. I must say it is refreshing planning this trip in comparison to my normal Disney trips as there is significantly less stress in not having to plan FP+/dining/etc. This brings me to my last question. As of now, we are staying at Royal Pacific for 3 nights to take advantage of Express Pass. Will it be needed in Mid June (June 13 - 16)? If not, I was thinking of switching to a cheaper hotel for the cost savings.

You will love RPR and having express. It will be busy when you go and the extra cost is worth it. You can try for AP rates too which will save you money on the hotel. USO does bridge but there are so many different ticket offers out that it varies whether they do it or not. I have no experience upgrading tickets.

Thank you for the crowd information. I did look and I found an APH rate this morning for a king suite that was cheaper than the standard king room I had booked. I was pretty excited to get that!

I wouldn't worry about using the child's ticket. But, that's up to you...

Problem with your 7 day ticket is that there is no equivalent anymore. You will not get a 5 day ticket credit for it or anything like that but you will get some value for it. It isn't worthless by any means as you can certainly still use it as a 2 park 7 day ticket.

Macraven has had recent experience with these tickets and I am sure she will come along and give you her advice.

Thanks for information. Hopefully she is able to give me some insight into that. I've spent a lot more time looking over all things Universal on this site and I'm actually a lot more excited for the universal portion of this upcoming trip than I am for the Disney portion.

Don't know how I missed this thread

Will send op a pm
As i have a lengthy answer
