So im looking at staying a week on i drive, probably at the rosen over from endless summer. Can me and the family walk to endless and get on a bus to uni?

Or is it just for hotel guests? Looks to me a 10 minute at most walk over the road, zero parking charges and regular trips.

While i know this is a cheap way out it would save a boat load from staying at endless for a week.

I've never stayed at either of the Endless hotels, but have stayed at CBR a few times and have never seen them ask for any sign of staying onsite. As long as you can walk there, you should be able to use the buses.

I've read where folks staying at Aventura walk across the street to SFR to take the Water Taxi. So I doubt there is anything stopping someone from walking to any of the resorts and taking the complementary shuttle services (buses, water taxis, etc.).

Doesn't the Rosen Inn have a free shuttle to Universal?
It does but very much a opening to closing thing. I dont mind hitting it early, but if i want to come back before closing this was the option i was looking at. Likewise goign back mid afternoon.

At CBBR, I've never seen anyone asking or checking anything - if you show up and stand at the bus stop, you can get on the bus. Doubt it would be different for Endless Summer.

It's a shuttle for Surfside/Dockside. I'm sure if you ask those hotels they will tell you no.

The 38 LYNX bus passes by the Rosen on it's way to Universal City Walk. Day pass is $4.50. $16 for a week pass.

I dont think it's right for guests of that hotel to potentially have to wait in a longer bus line because you want to save some money. It's a perk for hotel guests, not a public bus stop.
If they dont check ID thats on them in my view. Im sure everyone using the skyliner or buses or water taxis are disney hotel guests?

I will look into this thanks

And the LYNX day/week pass gives you access to the whole Orlando bus system.

so you could take LYNX 111 airport express from the MCO airport to Destination Parkway stop and transfer to LYNX 38 to Rosen.

Or take LYNX 38 from the Rosen to Destination Parkway stop and transfer to the LYNX 350 that drops you off at Disney Springs.

No offense, but the other side of this is that for many part of the reason guests book and usually are paying the higher prices to stay at the Disney(and Universal) hotels near this transportation is FOR easy access to that transportation. Often, it is crowded enough with just the paying hotel guests without the added burden of off-site guests using it for "free". Now, I'm not saying that day guests using it to get to meals at the resorts should not be allowed or that they should not be able to use things like the skyliner to get between parks, but I feel it that is different than someone staying elsewhere and then going TO the hotel specifically and only to use the transportation TO the parks. Having stood waiting many times for a bus that was not full to take to a park at opening (Disney, but could be the same at Universal), the fact that they don't "card' people doesn't IMHO make it ok anymore than using the hotel pools if you are not a guest. Again, I mean NO DISRESPECT to those that do this, I just wanted to point out that it does have an effect on the the hotel guests.

The big difference is that Disney World is a whole location unto itself and there really isn't a reasonably priced alternative means to taking the Disney Bus or Skyliner to get from point A to point B because it's just a vast expanse of land. It's a monopoly system where you have to take Disney transport.

With Surfside/Dockside, as I have stated in the other thread it's a 15 min walk from Surfside to the CityWalk bus terminal. The public LYNX 38 bus (in front of the Surfside parking deck and down Idrive) and 37 Bus (from the Four Points Tower) also goes to the CityWalk Bus Terminal and that only costs $4.50 for a day pass and $16 for a week pass.

Also on Disney territory there are only Disney hotels and Disney affiliated hotels. So really only those hotel guests or Disney park guests who want to resort hop/use restaurant would use the hotel buses.

With the Universal tract is more like Disneyland where there are around 75 unaffiliated Universal hotels surrounding Surfside/Dockside on I Drive in close proximity. So in theory all the guests at the 75 unaffiliated Universal hotels would want to use the bus in question with the primary goal of going to the parks or coming back from the parks.

The bus lines back up in the evenings. I am sure the hotel guests that paid for the UO hotels don't appreciate the line being lengthened by people not staying at those hotels. You should probably either stay at one of the UO hotels if you want that transportation or plan to drive/Uber.

Does Wi-fi get to the pick up point? Coming from the Uk they have now removed data use without an up charge on our cell usage. Driving isn’t an option due to stupidly high car rental prices.

Morally I should probably pay for a universal hotel I guess but again I doubt everyone using the skyliner to pop or art is a hotel guest.

The hotel said they offer transport but couldn’t give me any times they run or return.

Where are you staying.

I see tons of Brits using the LYNX 38 and 37 bus to cross over from Idrive to the City Walk bus terminal.

Week pass is only $16. And you can take the LYNX 111 or LYNX 42 from the airport to IDrive.

The bus transportation from the Universal Hotels to the parks is for guests staying at Universal hotels. They might not check ID's but using the buses when you are not entitled to is theft of services .

From the web site
One of the amazing benefits of staying at one of our resort hotels is leaving your travel worries behind and hopping on a water taxi, shuttle bus, or taking a short walk over to one of our three spectacular theme parks.

Theft of services? That’s a bit strong isn’t it?

As I keep saying I do hope no one uses any form of Disney transport if not staying onsite. I won’t be jumping on the monorail to go over to the poly for lunch now. As I guess that’s theft to

Regardless you will all be pleased to know I won’t be going to uni anymore as the plans have changed.
