Needless to say he brought it for our vacation at the Poly! Worked fine. He especially enjoyed having it when they had to return to the room while my DGS napped.Gooofy-Blade said:let me be frank, and I'd say there are others thinking this......Why in the world would someone have to have their PS2 on vacation at WDW??? My DS and DH play enough video games at home, I don't want to see or hear them on vacation. Same reason why we will never get a DVD player for our car even though it seems that everyone else has them. During our downtime on long car trips or in our hotel room, DS reads his books or plays with his toys/board games he bought with him.Gooofy-Blade said:let me be frank, and I'd say there are others thinking this......Why in the world would someone have to have their PS2 on vacation at WDW??? *Fantasia* said:My son loves his PS2! When ever we do "down time" and we do this quite a bit, the kids pretty much watch tv, while I sit out in the balcony or nap or read my Disney books or read the stuff they give you at the check in. Sometimes my son gets bored watching or playing with his toys and he wishes that he brought his game. One time he said he was home sick cause he misses his PS2! Oh well... he is only 8 and it seems like his game is part of his everyday life... Just like DIS Board is part of my everyday life.

Believe it or not, video games are not the devil. I grew up playing video games (Nintendo, Atari, Intellivision), and I turned out to be a pretty productive member of society. (I know you didn't say it was evil, but I'm just launching a pre-emptive strike)
You know what they say about assuming, i.e. "pre-emptive strike"???Harambe said:I agree with Goofy-Blade, but I also know that lots of folks relax with the PS2, just like others (old people like me!) relax with a glass of wine.
DH and I finally broke down and bought our kids GameBoys so they could use them on the plane ride and in the room when they want to relax.
So, Goofy-Blade, while the others help Anikan and Obie-Wan behead the bad guys, come over to our balcony for a refreshing Gin and Tonic!
Aimeedyan said:What if you drive 18 hours straight to WDW, check into your hotel, and your family wants to order in food and sit and play "Scene It" in the comfort of your hotel room for the night, so they'll be rested up and ready for the parks in the morning? Your PS2 will play that game as well. (this is exactly what we did our first night at Pop after that drive)
