Can I take my pin lanyard on the airplane?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times already.

We're flying out of Midway Chicago to MCO in 5 days and I'm wondering if anyone has had any problems with TSA while taking their pin lanyard with them on the plane.

I'd like to have it for the first day as we're hitting the parks right away, but if there's a remote chance of losing it of course I'll put it in my checked luggage.

All six of us have always had our pins in our carry ons and never had a problem.

One of the kids favorite places to pin trade is at the Disney Store in the airport!

Its really a great time to get out of Chicago! Brrrr...

Yes, it is definitely time to clear out of Chicago! This is my FAVORITE time of year to get the heck out of Dodge and get some fun in the SUN!@
