Hi,
We'll be going to Disney World for the first time at the end of September. I requested the Deluxe Dining Plan, and am set now to pay for it at check-in.

I'm starting to wonder if maybe that would be way too much food for us... PLUS I haven't made any restaurant reservations yet! Basically I put this trip together at the end of January and then put it up on a shelf and am just now getting with it and trying to get organized. I'm starting to freak out! :scared1:

Am I able to change the Dining Plan when we check in at BCV or is that something that's set in stone when you book your room?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Emily

no, you can't change at check-in. No later than 72 hours before arrival on packages and 48 hours on dvc reservations. If you downgrade a package within 45 days, there is a change fee.

sounds like you are maybe going on DVC points (paying for dining at check in)... i would call DVC to ask about downgrading your dining plan and if there is any penalty because regular wdw travel company package rules will not apply...

I'd look at having signature (2cr) dinners. Have a good sitdown b/fast in the am, then dinner. You'll use your 3 cr's per day. You can also do the dinner shows (HoopDeDoo, etc) using 2 credits.

You'd better hop on getting your ADS's. With free dining, they get booked up very quickly. Lots of people book at the 180 window.

Good luck & enjoy.:wizard:

Thanks, all! Yes, I'm renting dvc points. I'm upset with myself for dropping the ball on the reservations... I've been so busy this year and just kept procrastinating... then yesterday my magical express package came in the mail and I suddenly thought, "OMG."

I think I'll keep the deluxe plan and just not stress over it. I'm going to plan plan plan and just try to get as many reservations as I can at this late date. Not going to stress....

Thanks so much!!!! :goodvibes

Don't forget that room service counts as two TS credits. we did that for breakfast and it helps for a leisurely morning getting ready to go. Keep that as an option.
