Can I Switch Dessert Party Reservation Days

Hi all,

I am not doing my happy dance. I was supposed to go to Disney this weekend but my trip partner got the flu.

We had reservations for the happily ever after dessert party for this Saturday. It says you need 5 days notice if you are going to cancel to get your money back.

But as I have switched MNSSHP ticket dates before can the same be done for the dessert party? Like if I plan a trip in March?

Officially, no, as it says in the cancellation policy.

But there is absolutely no harm in calling and asking the question!

I'd call and explain the situation. I think they'd switch for you if the new date is available. It's not like you're just cancelling altogether, you're changing dates due to illness. I think Disney tries to help out in those kinds of situations if they can.
 
Yes, I was able to change it by calling. I booked the Dessert Party first, then the DAH dates were posted. I didn’t want them on the same night, so the CM was able to change my date for me without any issues.

Edit- just noticed you were within the 5 day timeframe- that’s different than my situation. Please ignore!
 

Call and ask. We were there in Dec. with tickets to the Christmas party, which is NON-refundable. My dh was back at the hotel in bed, sick. At 4pm the day of our party the CM at GS switched our ticket to the party two days later. BTW, both those parties were sold out and we were still pixie dusted!
 
I suggest calling as well, we had a very helpful CM in January when I had to cancel the Frozen dessert party for that evening because my husband woke up very sick.
 
like others have said I would call and just tell them what happened. Most of the time Disney is very good about changing thing like this when something like what happened to your friend,

and I hope your friend feels better soon.
