I have done this twice in the past, though it has been a few years. We have had to present our WDW tickets media at the gate, the manager disappears for a few minutes, and returns to with park hoppers for us for the day. The day is deducted from our WDW ticket media.

Do they still do this at Disneyland?

Thanks.

Does this mean I can take the 1-day Disney World ticket I have (unused from a couple years ago) and use it at Disneyland? I had been planning to buy a 1-day Park Hopper, but if I could save some $$ that'd be great!

Thanks. Sorry if I should dumb.

Yes like explained above. If it's a park hopper you will get a park hopper. If it's a one park ticket, you will get a one park ticket.

I am glad they still offer this...... we are taking a quick 2 day drive over from Phoenix and have left over non-expiring tickets from WDW...

Just did this last week. Thought I was only going to have 2 days left on my WDW Park Hopper, and was surprised when the lady came back and said I had 4 days left. Looking at October for our anniversary or early December.

Do the WDW tickets have to be no expiration tickets or can you trade in a new unused park hopper that would need to be used within 13 days of the first use.
Question #2 Can I trade in a 6 day WDW park hopper for two Disneyland 3 day park hoppers?

Question #3
Could I trade one day of a WDW park hopper for a one day DL hopper and then add two days to the ticket for the $5 per day add on?
Any help will be appreciated. We will be there Sept. 8-11

Not sure about this one.

No, you cannot. When DL does these transactions, they simply deduct a day from your WDW ticket and give you a one-day DL ticket. You must do this trade-in every day of your trip.

No you cannot because this is a special circumstance. In addition, the $5 upgrade is only when upgrading a 6-day hopper to something more (this is not advertised). When upgrading other tickets, you pay the difference between what you paid and what the upgraded ticket costs at the gate.

Answers above.

Do the unused WDW days have to be on a no-expire ticket?

When people exchange their tickets, does "go to the gate" refer to the regular lines or do you have to go to a special ticket counter (like the will call area)? What do you say to the cast member? I've read some cast member don't know you can do this.

Any gate/turnstyle. The CM will call a lead over, who will take the WDW ticket away to verify it still has days on it, then take a day off the ticket. The lead then comes back and tells the CM at the turnstyle to issue a one day ticket to DLR.

Last year I used my husbands siver main entrance pass (doesn't expire) in Disney world. Will be going to Disney land in a few weeks can this be used in DL? If so, what is the procedure? :confused3

I'm not too sure. I though the Silver Passes say either WDW or DL on them, though my inclination is they are good at either resort.

At DL enter on the far right, CM entrance, if you can use it there.

To clarify the no expiration vs. not question:

I have a 6 day WDW parkhopper. It is unused right now. If I use/exchange one day of it for a DL one day parkhopper, does that ACTIVATE the remaining five days and begin the ticket's 13 day expiration? Or not?

My guess is that YES it becomes active and the 13-day clock starts ticking.

As someone who lines up to be first at the turnstile in the morning, I wouldn't want to hold up the line as they try to issue a DL ticket for me, or get stuck behind the crowd after waiting.
Can you do this a day in advance when the entrance isn't as busy and then use your tickets over the next couple days?
