Hi all! We are leaving on September 23, a few weeks away, and I want to send in a check to pay off the room ($1100) because we are waiting for our bank to raise our $1000 per day spending limit on our stupid Visa check card, as well as trying to buy all new furniture and matrresses for our new house! I really don't want to use up my daily limit on the room charges since we could use that charge linmit for other things, but I was wondering if it is too late to send Disney a check for the amount due, or even for half of it and charge the rest when we arrive. Do they have a cut off for check payments or should I just send it? I was going to send it priority so they would get it exactly 2 weeks before we arrive, maybe sooner. What do y'all think?
Thanks!

As long as you don't have an AP BestRate reservation you should be fine. We have always paid off our reservations in advance. You can call CRO and put any amount you want on your Visa check card and do it as many times as you wish.

So there is no "cut off date" on sending in payments by check through the mail?

I wouldn't think so, as long as you send it priority and it gets there quick. You don't want to get to the resort and have them tell you you still have a balance.

Maybe get a copy of your check before you send it and bring that with you to the resort.

Have a good trip! :)

How do you send checks for paying on your reservation? who do you send it too? This would be really nice-as I can pay them every month-like a bill-LOL and be all payed off by the time final payment is due;and keep from using my credit cards!

When you receive your reservation in the mail there will be an envelope that has been pre-addressed. The bottom portion of the reservation form itself is removable with places to fill in the information to make a payment.

How did you originally book, did you book online? or did you book through phone, also did you book a package, or just room ressie. reason being, last time I booked a package, they would take payments, but hwen I booked just a room, and booked it online, they would not take payments and said i would have to pay it when I arrived(again, this was when I did a room only booking ONLINE). they stated if I had done a package, or did room only by phone, his would not be a problem. I am not sure if this is still the case, your best bet would be to call Disney and find out(that way you don't waste time and have a $1000 check floating around that may not get cashed).
