Can I split parks with my three Fast passes?

We have hoppers for the whole week and plan to hop all days, I was wondering if we can split our fast passes between both parks for that day? thanks ( why do I secretly think the answer is no..lol )

I could be wrong, but I think it is "No". That was one of my complaints with the new fast pass system. We use park hoppers also, but we were not able to split up our fast passes between parks if we booked our fast passes on line. If someone else knows how to do it, I would like to hear about it also.

No... Probably the thing I dislike about fp. What I hate is that you have to use all three before you can get another from any park. I wish you could have your three advance fps for one park, but be able to get one from the kiosk at another park even if you haven't used them all. At least you'd still need to do the kiosk.

Not the 3 in advance but you can get fastpasses at the kiosk after you use those advance 3 in any park. They don't allow you to split the advance because everyone would pick the top rides at each park, lessening popular availability for everyone else.

well that sucks....I dislike Fastpass already...ugh. All that money on park hoppers too...sigh

the initial 3 FP+ selections must be used in the same park.

after you've used your initial 3 you can go to another park and use the kiosks to get one more FP+ at a time.

personally what i did when park hopping was make my initial 3 for the second park and then i rope dropped the first park without FP+.

I'm not a hopper myself, but I agree if I were it would be a real pain that you can't divvy your choices between parks. I see DisneyWorldDreamer beat me to it - I was just starting to type that it seems most hoppers here like to rope drop the first park and get FPs at park #2. I think if they're doing late arrival instead of rope drop, then FPs are most useful at your midday park.

Last, if you bought your tickets as a package and aren't yet within 45 days of your trip, I believe you can call to remove the hoppers from your tickets.

What happens if, for example, you have FP+ in AK at 10am/11am/12pm. You use the first AK FP at 10am, then decide to hop to MK. Once you get there, can you modify your two remaining FP individually (on app or kiosk) for two new rides in MK?

I seem to recall reading about a related "glitch"/"feature" with the app? Since you can't have your first 3 FP at different parks, when you hop to the 2nd park, you can supposedly "cancel" the 3 FP from the first park and make three new FP at the second park, even if you used the 3 FP at the first park. Note I haven't tried this, and I cannot find the thread discussing it.

Unfortunately, no you cannot. They have restricted the FP's to one park only, for the first three.

But you don't have to actually USE the three fast passes at the first park - you just have to let them expire. So if you make a 9/10/11 FP+ at one park, and only want to use two of them, you could travel to your second park from 11 - 12 (for example) and be ready to pull a fast pass at the new park, as long as your time has expired on all three at the first park. Clear as mud?

I'd make late-morning/early-afternoon FP+s at Park #2.
I'd go to Park #1 at RD and hit all the attractions I could before the crowds hit.
Then I'd go to Park #2 and use my FP+s.

I think I recall a thread like that as well. My head starts swimming when there are too many tricks and such, so I didn't commit it to memory, I figured I'd never get around to trying it. But I *think* Mesaboy2 was on that thread knowing about how to cancel your remaining 2 after you use your first 1 and then you get a fresh batch. . . perhaps try posting on his huge FP+ Strategies thread and see if he knows?

After the 3 FPs are up can you make the 4th on your phone or do you have to use a kiosk?

I think the way the system ought to work is if you buy a PH ticket, you can reserve up to 4 FP in advance per day which can be used in any park, up to 3 of which can be used in the same park (so you could choose 3-1, 2-2, 2-1-1, or 1-1-1-1).

If you buy a non-PH ticket, you just get 3 in the same park (same as current system).

This would be perfect, I agree!

I'm certainly not a FP+ cheerleader, but I think one of its best features is to make hopping a more attractive option. We largely avoided hopping because, for example, why go to DHS in the afternoon as park #2? All the FPs for TSMM and RnR would be gone, and we would be walking into the lion's den in terms of 90 minute waits. Better just to stay put. But now, if you book your FPs for the second park, it can actually make sense to move from one park to the next. At least you will be guaranteed a minimal wait at 3 attractions. So now, if you make DHS your second park, you can hit up TSMM, ToT and one other ride that doesn't have the word "Coaster" in it. So don't give up yet. Do as described below.

What we did was go to a park at rope drop and NOT use any FP's for that park and schedule the 3 in the evening at another park. OR.... we would just do attractions that you don't really need a FP for at the park we hopped to.
