Can I spectate Pop Warner?

I will be in Disneyworld during the Pop Warner event in December and thought it might be interesting (for a foreigner!) to see some football and/or cheerleading. Are the events open to outsiders? Can I just turn up at WWoS or is there a ticketing system? (My pass covers WWoS entry)

Wait a minute...some one is trying to ATTEND Pop Warner, and not avoid them?? LOL, someone should sticky this thread. ;)

Seriously, not sure - I assume that if you have WWoS entry, you will be set. I'm sure someone here is more intimately aware of PW specificly, though.

Good luck!

You might want to check out the web site for WWoS, to see if you will have to buy an extra ticket for the event. Because they sometimes have stuff going on that will not be coverd by the pass you have right now.

I have read many, many threads about Pop Warner over the years and as I will be staying in Pop Century for the entire event I thought perhaps I should go with the flow and try to see the positive side! As we have neither football nor cheerleading to any degree in the UK I think I am going to view Pop Warner as a cultural event that I should I should immerse myself in to fully experience US life!

HAHA that's a great attitude to have. :teeth:

I appriciate a good cheer, just not at 6:30am right outside my resort room when I'm trying to catch a few Z's. ;)

I had my feel of cheerleaders in High school. I swear if one of them had just stopped in the middle of the hall and desided to spin around...just because, AGAIN...I think I was going to knock them into the wall and not look back. But I was raised better than that...so I just thought it....didn't do it. ;)

I hate watching a football game and the camera turns to the cheerleaders. That is when I turn the channel. So their is just no way that I would pay extra to see them in any way. And I'm glad that I won't be down there at the same time as them.

I was at WDW for Pop Warner in December of 2004. I looked into tickets at WWoS because I thought my nieces might enjoy it and had some crazy idea we might have time to catch one of the competitions......NOT!....but if I remember right, you did need to buy a ticket to get in and I THINK they were around $15. -- Once it gets a little closer you can find info on Disney's site. I don't think the info is out yet now though. Maybe early to mid-September.

Had to laugh reading about someone wanting to watch the Pop Warner crowd, certainly a minority on this Board! I am about 99% sure you will need another ticket beside your admission to Wide World of Sports.

Also, if you plan to take the Disney bus system there, we found out the hard way that you need to take the resort bus to Disney-MGM Studios and transfer to the Wide World of Sports bus there. Do not believe anyone who tells you to go to Downtown Disney. Several Cast Members at Boardwalk told my husband he could catch the bus at DTD, and by the time he got there and found out they were wrong, and then got back to our resort, the baseball game he wanted to watch was 1/2 over.
