Can I sign up for the AP website before my first use?

I wanted to book a WOC picnic with the discount! I tried calling Disney Dining to see if they would do it, but the Picnics are only booked online. Any advice?

Oh and WOW that we even have AP's. I never thought in a million years that would happen! It was a HUGE surprise from hubby.

You typically need the number on the card but some have had luck with the number on the voucher.

You won't be able to do it. You have to activate the AP at the park to get your AP number. The number on the voucher is NOT the same. Your one-year membership will begin the day you activated your AP at the park, not when you bought it online.

You can try calling and see what they suggest, but you won't be able to do it online and I'm not sure there is any other way. One reason is that there is no guarantee that you'd be activating your AP immediately, so say you had leftover tickets and called to get an AP discount, then didn't get your AP on your next visit - you would be getting a discount without having an AP. I know that doesn't happen often, but it's also why parking isn't free for Premiums until they are activated, etc.

Thanks, Sonny! I'll try laying on the charm in my next phone call to see if anyone will help me out! I'm sure it's not even that much money saved, but after buying the passes, I kind of want to take full advantage.
