Can I send a cake to someone if I'm not at WDW?

I'd like to send a cake to someone who will be dining at Biergarten on his Birthday. I have the ADR# and the time and name on the ressie. Can I call from home and schedule this? If I'm not there to see it through, is there a chance it will get forgotten? I'd like to suprise the whole dining party. How can I ensure a good outcome? Has anyone done this before? TIA

you do not have to be there to send it to them, but I would not recomend doing this. If it was me, I would see if I could send it to their room or send something through disney florist. Sometimes ppl change their minds about where to eat and it would be awful for you to have ordered the cake and then not have them receive the cake because they decided not to dine there. If the only way for them to get the cake is to dine at a WDW resturant (like they may not be staying at WDW hotel ) then you would need to let someone in the party know so they can ensure that they go to the resturant and at least pick the cake up.
