I know this is a question I should know the answer to, but I would like to take a cruise with my wife and 6 year old son. Can I use DVC points to pay for one of them, and pay for the rest with cash?
Yes - you can do that. To reserve through MS, you must pay for at least one person with points. You may then pay for other people in the same cabin with cash. THe price is the one that DVC has negotiated with DCL - it could be more or less than the price DCL or a TA is charging at the time you book.
Best wishes -
P.S. The first two people in the cabin must pay the adult price. Not sure if you can pay cash for two adults and points for the 6 year old. Maybe someone else will know or you can ask MS.
Does anyone know the answer to that? Can I pay cash for the 2 adults and then use points for our 6 year old? That would really be best, if we can do it.
Waiting to here the answer too. Cash for one and points for the other? Has anyone broken it down to find out if it is alot more expensive to do it this way?
