Can I rent points from 2 different owners?

I hope this is the proper forum for asking this question.

I currently have a made arrangements with a DVC owner to rent points for a stay in Jan '06. Their home resort is BWV so that works out well. I recently saw some pics of a 1 bedroom villa and thought that we would enjoy the addt'l space over the standard studio that we already have ressies for. I contacted the DVC owner & they are unsure if we'll be able to rent the addt'l points from them, they are going to let me know ASAP. The standard 1 bedroom villa is available for our dates though.

If the owner is unable to rent me the addt'l points (84) is there a way that I can rent them from another DVC owner or not? I have to admit I'm not 100% clear on how it would work if I can do this and appreciate your thoughts/suggestions. I would not want to just forgo my deal with my current DVC owner as they have already done the legwork to make our current ressies and I feel as though I owe them to continue with the deal we agreed upon.

If the current member can't provide enough points for the 1BR villa you'll have a couple of options. You cannot just rent points from another member to cover the difference needed - any changes to your current reseravtion must be handled thru the member that made it for you. You could have them reserve as many days of the 1BR as they can and then you'd need to find another member ale to rent the remaining days for you. The two reservations can be linked together thru DVC (the members will have to do this for you).

Another, more difficult, option would be to find another member willing/able to transfer the necessary points to the member you're already working with and then make a new reservation for the 1BR villa. This complicates the process greatly, but can be done.

If the member is willing to allow you to cancel the reservation without any financial penalty, you could also try to find a member with enough points to reserve the entire reservation for you. Having the origianl member book the 1BR for you and then another to supplement the additional days you want is probably the best option.
