Can I Redeem Disney Visa Reward Dollars with AAA?

We have been saving our Disney Visa Rewards to help pay for our WDW vacation this June. We are getting ready to pay for the package, but Chase tells me that I can't use my Rewards to pay for a package.

Evenmore, we booked our package through AAA with the room discount, tickets and DDP, they only way we can get a package with dining and still receive the AAA room rate. If we go through CRO to get the AAA room rate we cannot get a package and would lose DDP.

AAA experts, any ideas?

you are supposed to be able to use it anytime at disneyworld. I thought you could pay for your reservations with it.

aaa's billing goes straight through disney when they do your credit card. so i think it should work.

If you have already transferred your points to a rewards card call AAA and give them the rewards card number - they should have a way to use this when they contact Disney to make the payment.

Chase would not know - AAA should

I work at AAA and yes you would just use it like any other credit card. AAA just calls Disney and gives them the cc #- it's no different than if you called and gave it to Disney.

I used a TA, though not AAA, and she told me she wasn't able to do this, and that it was a recent change. I called Chase to inquire and they confirmed that you can only use it to pay for your package if you booked directly with the WDTC. I didn't have a huge amount, so I had no trouble using up my reward dollars on other things (including upgrading to an AP!).

Hopefully you will have better luck.

As I tried to state before though was rushing...when you make a credit card payment on a disney trip through AAA the charge does not come through as aaa. On your credit card statement you will see that it is to WDTC. The billing is directly through WDTC. I am going to be mighty upset if my $700 can't be used to pay for my package. We never spend that much at the park. We get the dining plan and take extra snacks with us. OOP at the park for foods is less than $50, souvies run maybe $150 when celebrating a birthday. Hmmm wonder if I can use them at the hess while there.

I did get a return call from my AAA TA. She told me that we CAN use our Disney Visa Reward dollars toward our package. She did this for the first time only recently.

Beth Cam, your right. The way my TA described it, she calls the payments into Disney directly. Payments are not processed by AAA.

It would be such a disappointment to have been collecting these points for two years for this purpose and not be able to use them to pay for the vacation package. I know that we can use reward points at the parks, but we had trouble with that our last trip (for some reason LTT couldn't process the rewards card payment). Just don't want that hassle while we are touring. It is much easier for us to just use cash at the parks.
