My dh dose not want to take our new car. He wants to drive or fly. Flying Thanksgiving week is crazy in$ I do not want to drive due to who knows what wheater we will have on 81. I was thinking the auto train with a rental car.
here is also why if I take the regular train I still need to rent a van. Who no's how I am going to pick it up from the station. so thats why I thought about renting a van and putting it on the train?

please I need help. I need to figure out how to get there and get a rental for 1700 total!!! HELP:sad2:

If memory serves, there are car rental agencies right at/handy to the Amtrak station in Orlando..

The address is 1400 Sligh Blvd, Orlando

And 111 Dakin Ave in Kissimmee

Skip the auto portion of the train and the added expense all together:)

Don't know where in central NY you are, but, why not check the Southwest and JetBlue websites for prices .........SW prices for November won't be out for sometime yet. Last time I gave a passing thought to the autotrain (just a very passing thought) it was actually MORE expensive than flying. Usually if you can be even a little bit flexible with your travel dates or times you can find a fare that's not bad.

I would stick in there for airline reservations. Usually prices are best around 5 months out...
