Can I put a credit on my account at check in?

I like to charge on my key card, but I want to pay it off before we leave. I sometimes forget to go to the front desk and pay. When I check in can I place a credit on my account?? Thanks!

usually the way that they do it is to have you put your credit card on file with them at checkin and then that allows you to have charging privilges on the key cards. they might allow you to pay extra up front to put on the cards, but i not sure about that.
also, if you wish, you can have specific cards for charging and others with no charging. my parents use to have my sister's and my key cards with no charging (this way we don't go around spending all the money) but their cards would have the charging (so we really didn't have to have that much cash on us)

When I went to Pop in May with a friend she had way more rewards dollars from her Disney Visa than we owed on the room. They would NOT allow her to just post all the rewards dollards as a credit on the room. Instead she had go pay off what we had charged back to the room.

I know that I was able to post rewards dollars on my room a few years ago at the Poly but my friend was told it couldn't be done.

I was able to do this at the Poly. I had eward dollars and disney dollars and they let me apply to my account at check in. They still wanted a credit card though, but that only kicked in after the credit balance was used.

Of course you can. You can even request express checkout which is what I always do. When you wake up the morning of your departure there will be an envelope under your door which is your bill. Look it over and if everything is okay you do nothing and the credit card you had on file will be charged.

I love the service at the Swan where I can check my bill on the tv which is great! I check it every single day to make sure it's all right so if there are any issues it can be taken care of right away.

1) You do not have to use the credit card.
2) You can apply a deposit to the room at check-in, just as you asked.
3) Then, your purchases apply to the deposit.
4) Deposits can be made via cash, check, traveler cheque, check-card.

We always put X amount of TC on our account and my DH checks the balance every-other day or so. When it's getting close, we put more on. We have it figured pretty good where we might get a couple cents back, but we never have to pay anything.

I feel so bad for some folks. Our last trip, we were checking out and the guy in front of us had to go through 2 different CC to pay off the charges. I would be sick if that was the way I ended my vacation.

As the other posters have stated you can place a cash deposit at check in in lieu of a credit card. We did this on our last trip, I placed our budgeted amount in traveler's cheques when we checked in and it felt like Christmas when we checked out, they actually owed us $277.00 you just can't beat a vacation that is paid off in advance!
