I have a hard ticket in hand, 5-day hopper Plus.....never used.....Plus a $100 Disney Gift Card. Can I take both items to the Concierge Desk at the resort, or do I have to go to a Guest Services over at a park? Will be staying at Poly.....but don't feel like battling the lines at MK. Thanks.

Not to my knowledge. I belive this is a ticket counter or guest services transaction only
Which means you can go to TTC

I'm not aware of being able to activate an AP anywhere except at Guest Services. We have purchased them online without any problem, but they have to be activated at Guest Services. If you are staying at the Poly, going to the TTC is your best option. Or going to MK.

You can also do it at a ticket counter, I have many times.

You mean Guest RELATIONS.

But, as has been said, in addition to Guest Relations, you can activate an AP at a ticket window (or even a Will Call window.)

Just remembered, can't you do this on the app now too? Upgrade a ticket to an AP? But only once you are on property or something? I vaguely recall this being one of the new features added to MDE but haven't done it myself so can't verify that it is working or that I'm remembering correctly

I’m not sure if all upgrades can be done on MDX at this time.
But, it’s worth checking while at WDW.

I'm going to try and remember to give it a try to see what the process is when we get there next week.
I don't really plan to upgrade either of the tickets we have to AP but I can at least see what it looks like, what options it offers, etc. If it even gives you any. Maybe make a screen shot or two, for those who do plan to.

I'm curious about it, too. I have some 6 day hoppers in my account, but I want to hold on to them as long as possible and eventually upgrade them. I wish it could be done before we are there.

We had a voucher for our annual passes when we were at BC and had to go to the ticket window at Epcot. Did not have to go to guest relations specifically but could not be done at concierge or front desk (even tho bell services told us we could).

Ironically enough, the only place we were able to do it is at the Swan... We tried to do the same at a Disney owned resort (aka Beach Club), and it was not possible.

Yes, I was able to upgrade to an annual pass using the app. You have to use the ticket to enter your first park before the upgrade option appears. Here's what it looks like:

I have an ongoing situation in the Tickets Sticky with a Diser right now who is currently trying to upgrade current WDW resort package tickets (10-day Hoppers) to AP.
The option does appear in MDX.

But, the problem is...
the guest ALSO wants to get a refund for purchased Memory Maker (as it is, of course, included in with the new AP.)
THAT part of the deal needs to be handled by a live CM (as far as I can tell.)

But, the REAL dilemma is that, even though the CORRECT "price bridged" upgrade price appears in MDX,
the guest has gone to multiple ticket CMs who have flatly told the guest that the value for
the package tickets is about $100 less than the "bridged" price
(for which we -and MDX- knows that the bridged price is the correct price.)

I've advised to keep seeking a trained CM and to show that CM the upgrade price in MDX.

Interesting. Although I didn't need a memory maker refund, I wanted a Premier Passport (which also has to be done in person). I had challenges with three different cast members giving me a value lower than even what I paid Undercover Tourist, and insisting there was no way to adjust it. When I finally showed the last CM the value from MDX. She was baffled and showed it to her supervisor, who also had no idea. Finally, she advised me to purchase the AP in the app -- and she would then immediately refund the full value to me and apply the credit toward the Premier Passport. Not sure if that's helpful with how they could deal with Memory Maker.

It seems that there are fewer trained CMs handling this than there used to be, based on these anecdotal experiences.
