Can I "practice" fastpasses? And if I do, will the tickets be bound to that day?

I haven't made FP in months! so funny how you forget! We alsways had APs, so I was able to look around for different days on offerings and availability.

This trip, we bought tickets from UT and linked them to MDE and are staying onsite for 10 days in September. My question is:
If I go into the booking page I can see 30 days out from today (bc obviously I don't have a reservation now. If I actually click on a day at 30 days out (just to see offerings and what it looks like), does the ticket get "linked" to the day I click on? Meaning if I cancel it, will I be able to book in two weeks (when my window DOES open? I just don't want to screw up my tickets for our stay in September!

You can practice just make sure you choose a date pretty far out in the 30 day window and cancel them pretty quickly after in case people going that day actually want those fastpasses.

No your ticket does not become linked to that day. You can use them for any day they are elligible (i.e. if you bought 1 day 1 park tickets you can't use a non-MK ticket to book MK FPs).

omg of course not!! I am not even looking to go that far into the page as to actually reserve times! I just wasn't sure since we only have 8 day tickets (vs our usual APs) that if I were to just click on a random day in the next 30 days that the tickets wont be considered used or something! thank you so much for your quick response!

I practice a few days before my FP+ booking day each trip and then just cancel them all. I need a refresher course each time.
