Hi, experts!

We are leaving next week to spend a week in the World. My question is this...my husband and I want to take our brand new Nintendo game cube with us on vacation. Can you plug it into the television at Port Orleans?

Thanks!
Kerry

This is certainly not meant to be an offense in any way, but I would think you could find sooooooooo many other things to do at WDW besides sitting in front of the tv playing Gamecube.

Not when the parks close at 5:00 pm (darn cut backs).

I am not able to answer you question about port orleans, but you can purchase an RF adapter for the Game Cube for around $10 made by MadCatz. The Nintendo one is better quality but around $20-$25

That adapter will allow you to use the connector that they use for the regular TV viewing in the room. But with any luck there should be a red, white, and yellow jack on the front (or the back)of the TV. In that case just use the cable that came with you Game cube and then look for a button on the front of the TV marked Video.

we've taken our game cube to a few hotels and mostly we needed the RF adapter. We also purchased a travel case for the Game Cube as well. It's definitely worth the $20 - $30 for the travel cases. that way the unit doesn't get banged around in a bag.

I'm not sure if you can plug in your Game Cube. Your best bet would be to call the hotel directly and ask.

If they don't have the right kind of jack, you can buy a box that will convert from AV jacks to the standard cable jacks.

How old are you 10 maybe 11. I didn't know they let children marry in NM.

Geez folks, whats with the personal comments?

desertgirl, I would call the resort to make sure you can. Even then, bring a pair of pliers along, they often firmly tighten the coax and as preciously mentioned the RF adapter is probably necessary as well. Very few hotels have TVs with RCA jacks, thought it would be nice if they would. Some of the TVs at other hotels are linked to security devices, but as I recall Disney didn't have that nice of TVs or other devices hooked up to them. Hopefully one of the many CMs on the boards can answer the question for 100% certain, but a call to your resort will too.
