If I'm visiting for 5 days but am not staying on property until day 4, can I add a 5 day ticket to my resort package and pick them up on day 1? I can't move our resort stay to the start of our vacation because it's a special thing for a birthday. The CM on the phone said I had to do two separate sets of tickets. I thought I read that I could activate our tickets up to three days early. Thanks!!

You can activate your tickets up to three days early; for some reason, phone CMs have to tell you that you can't. I can't remember where you go to do this though.

Do you need a "package?" If not, just purchase tickets on the website and link them to your MDE account. Then you won't have to worry about activating anything - your tickets will be active as soon as your purchase them. Your MagicBand is active before you even receive it.

If you need a package, you can activate the tickets at Guest Relations at the Parks or DTD.

It really is much easier to purchase the tickets separately rather than as a package,

For many kinds of dining packages you must purchase tickets as part of the package.

Go to the park you want to visit before your resort stay/package starts. Bring copies of your reservation papers. At guest relations outside ask for Early Ticket Pickup.

They will handle the rest for you. I am not sure of the exact results in 2015 but they may issue you paper tickets you use to enter the park. These you will have to have incorporated with your Magic Bands on check in day.

This person is only going for five nights and only one night on site-I'd say they're probably not getting a dining plan- I'd just do a room only reservation and buy tickets separately like PP said.
