Can I pay with a different credit card?

Hi all. About to push the switch on a booking! Woot!

Question: my husband wants to put the booking on his credit card but he isn't coming. So the booking would be done on that card and then I would put my card on the account when I arrive (or even better, before arrival). Is that possible, or do we need to have his credit card at checkin? We are Canadian so online check in is not an option I don't think.

In order to make sure the room is charged to your husband's credit card - the balance of the room can be fully paid before you check in.

I cannot remember if they ask for the physical card at checkin - I believe they do (you would think I could remember back to January!!)

They do ask if the card on file is the one you want to use for room charging and any subsequent charges when you checkin - at that point you can put your card on the account and be blissfully unaware of how fast that money is adding up every time you tap that band!!

For room only reservations you only have to pay for one night and the rest upon check-in. But you could pay before arrival. Then you'd simply do the online check-in process and change the card on file.

Or you can always walk up to the desk at check-in and just explain what you need done. They can make the change then.

I quite honestly cannot not remember - since when I check-in in person, I physically have the card with me - so, in all honesty it's just a detail I'm not paying attention to, since it's not a stressor for me - I'm simply hyper focusing on where my room is on the complicated map since I have no sense of direction and all I'm trying to figure out is how far away is the food, coffee, soda and bus!!

As mentioned - the hotel room can be pre-paid before you get to Disney - so that payment method becomes moot when you check-in

At that point, at the front desk you can present a new credit card for room charging privileges

No, not at all.

Pay your room off before you arrive. I've had Disney run the card on file very early the morning I'm checking in. So now, if I want to pay with a different card, I pay it off a few days ahead of arrival.
