Can I pay dues with my Disney rewards card

I cashed in my disney cc points and had them transferred to a rewards card to take on our vacation to WDW a few weeks ago. Problem is I totally forgot to use it! Can I use it towards my DVC dues like a cc payment?

Yes you can. When you call to pay your dues, simply tell them that you will be using 2 credit cards. Apply the entire balance of your rewards card towards the bill, and then put the remainder on a different card. No time like dues time to start accruing more rewards!

Yes you can but watch the expiration date on the card. Mine expires this month (I don't have anything on it).

If your card expires this month you can still call MS and prepay part of your dues. I just did this about two weeks ago. Will pay the balance with cc once I get the actual bill.

Or if your card is expiring you can also get a 2nd card. We had one trip over Xmas/New Years and the Rewards Card we had expired on 12/31. So we went to get the 2nd card (2 are allowed at any time, I think they're good for 2 years) and used that one with a longer expiration date instead.

Yes, but I have a question if you have reward dollars on your rewards card that is expiring 12/31 this year - and you order a second card - will they transfer those reward dollars to the second card? Not sure they will do this. The OP has reward money already in it that she did not use so unless you can do what I am asking - she will loose the reward dollars. I would just go ahead and pay part of my dues.

I don't think they will transfer them, I had a friend lose rewards when their card expired.

No, you can only use a credit card for payment in full. Monthly has to come from a direct withdrawl bank account.

Oh!! That's good to know. I have $19 left on a rewards card from our trip last December that expires at the end of the month.

One way to "get the dollars" off of the card is to go to the Disney Store and buy a regular gift card for the same amount. They can take the rewards card as payment for that. I always end up doing that before a trip since DW and I have separate cards and this way we can combine into a single card to avoid payment complications later in the parks.

That is another great way not to let them expire.

I only use them for my dues. $$$$ Bill - I just applied $525 towards my bill a few weeks ago. I did use them once for my bill on board our DCL Med. cruise and another time to buy Disney park tickets.
