Can I modify Universal complimentary tickets?

Hello all,
I had a trip planned at for 2020 and then COVID hit. My (adult) son’s ticket was a promotional buy two get three days free ticket which was going to expire before the border reopened.
At that time, rather than a refund, Universal issued me a “complimentary” 5 day ticket without an expiry date to use on a future trip.

Fast forward to 2022, we have booked a 7 day trip for this summer. Is there a way to add days to my son’s ticket or upgrade it to a seasonal pass? It shows up as complimentary - so no cash value.

Nope, there is no cash value associated to it due to it being considered "complimentary."

Thanks. That’s what I thought. I was just hoping there was a workaround. It’s unfortunate because I did pay for the original ticket. I guess I should have tried harder for a refund.
