We are staying at AKL for 5 nights from 11/1-11/6. I think that I may not need all 5 nights and might be able to take off the first two nights because I think we will be staying offsite. We are actually staying offsite for 5 nights and then the other 2 nights if I can take them off the AKL Best rate reservation. Would Disney let me drop two nights and only stay at the AKL for 3 nights? We are basically doing it to save money because we have the 7 nights off site at a great deal. I never thought I would be off site but money is getting tight and I am starting not to be able to justify the cost of the deluxes anymore!!!

Thanks,
Kim

I am not sure what they consider that as... you are actually chaging your check in date. Maybe they just consider it dropping days. Why don't you give them a call & see what they say. Please let us know what happens..good luck :goodvibes

I have the same question. I'll try to call them tomorrow and get an answer, I'll post what they have to say. If you call in, could you also post so we can compare/confirm the information we get?

Thanks,
Alice

If you change a the reservation and your total price decreases you are charged a $50.00 change fee. That would occur if you were to drop even 1 night from the reservation.

I thought they did away with the modifacation fee of $50. The web site isn't showing it anymore? I know I have seen posters say they were charged & others say they weren't. Is it possible that the ones who were charged it, were because that was in terms & conditions when they booked? Those booking now may not be charged sicne it isn't on web??? :confused3

Ok, I will wait to hear back from you guys before I call. I am always afraid to ask questions!!!

Thanks,
Kim

When I called to add my mom to my Dec ressie, the CM at first said she would have to charge me the $50.00 modification fee. When I told her I thought that had been dropped she said 'let me check'. She came back a few moments later and said I was correct it had been dropped as long as the price stayed the same or went up. Since my mom would still only make two adults in the room the price wouldn't change. She said the only time the $50.00 fee was being charged was if people downgraded their resort or deleted days from their trip, causing the total price to decrease.

I made changes to my ressie for december and was not charged the fee.

When you read the site now, it says nothing about the $50. So if I booked say today using the site, I call next week to make a change ie: drop a night, how can they charge me when there is nothing saying that there is such a charge. Those who were charged...... when you made your ressie, did it have the $50 fee notice on the web site? If so, that would make sence. If it didn't & they still charged you, I would ask them to see it in writing...they cannot just make up the rules as they go along. I think you would have a valid leg to stand on... I am not doubting that anyone was charged it, all I am wondering is if the ressie had been made when the notice was on it?
