Can I make a ressie before my points are available?

We have a March use year, I want to make December ressies, but, all the points I need (will have to borrow) wont be available till March - can I make the ressie now (since the points will be available when I travel, or do I have to wait to make the ressie till I can borrower the rest?

Points for a given reservation are based on what points you would have available for use at the time of your stay, not what is in your account at the time of booking.
